Summary
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a common cause of disability in young adults. Although not curable, effective immunomodulators, which alter the development of disability, are available and should be initiated early in the disease process. Optimizing care of patients with MS requires frequent assessments and a team approach.

Objectives

  • Discuss treatment options for keeping MS patients in remission
  • Describe the role of the case manager in the treatment of MS

Instructions for CME: View the presentation, answer the post test and complete the evaluation form and submit to keads@namcp.org .  A score of 70% must be achieved to receive continuing education credits.  You will have the option on the post test/evaluation page to submit your forms electronically or by faxing them to Katie Eads at 804-747-5316.
