Summary
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), BPH affects more than 50% of men over age 60 and as
many as 90% of men over the age of 70 and affects each man differently. As a result of these differences,
treatment varies in each case. This activity will address the treatment and cost implications for managed
care organizations and patients with BPH.

Objectives
  Discuss the prevalence, treatment patterns and costs of care of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
  Examine the impact on managed care and overall health management of patient with BPH
